Abstract
The thermal neutron capture cross section of 129I Long Lived Fission Product is determined from chopped cold neutron beam experiments preformed at the PGAA facilities of the Institute of Isotopes. The new experimental value is more precise than the earlier values and is in agreement with recent results of Nakamura et al. and fits well to the differential cross section measurements of Noguere et al. A detailed description of the analysis is given.
